HELPING HANDS

Scraps of leftover canvas and fabric are stitched and glued together and then painted and drawn on. These remnants of old paintings, form new compositions. Hand imagery symbolizes my need for engagement, community and help. As a mother who is strained and often feels limited in what I can offer the world due to the fullness and stress of my own life being the primary caretaker of 3 young children, these scraps resemble what I can offer. An extension of myself and my efforts to serve, despite the lack of time and resources I am able to give during this phase in my life.
